If a person does not sleep for a day, she may have symptoms of schizophrenia, writes Mizo News with reference to the study of the University of Bonn and the Royal College of London. Consequently, the concentration decreases, psychosis is noted. A man is struck with strange thoughts, and she mistakenly perceives reality.
This is proved by an experiment with 24 healthy volunteers aged 18-40. At first people normally slept in the laboratory. About a week later they were having a sleepless night. The next morning after a sleepless night, volunteers were asked to tell about their feelings and thoughts. In general, it could be said that after a sleepless night, an important function of the brain was violated - the filtration of information.
In addition, the experiment participants had increased sensitivity to light, color and brightness. They changed the perception of time and odors. Usually, the same thing happens with the development of mental disorders, including schizophrenia.
