The data is published in the medical journal The Lancet.
The study was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Fumiaki Imamur of Cambridge University. An analysis of the daily diet of people from 187 countries between 1990 and 2010 was conducted. For systematic assessment, indicators such as region, country, nation, age, gender and national income were taken into account.
According to a study, poor African states were on top of the ranking, unlike developed countries. Nutrition first included vegetables and cereals, others - processed foods.
The ranking of countries with the most healthy diet was headed by one of the poorest states in the world - Chad. It is followed by Sierra Leone, Mali, Gambia, Uganda, Ghana, Côte d'Ivoire, Senegal, Israel and Somalia.
