Cystoscopy is called the method of examination of the internal walls of the bladder using a cystoscope. Cystoscopy - one of the most sought after methods of diagnosis of urological diseases.
Urethrocystoscopy (a device used for cystoscopy) is a long, thin tube in which a combined optical system that transmits the image onto the screen is mounted. When the doctor looks at the babies, it uses special baby cystoscopes of small size.
Cystoscopy: peculiarities of conduction
On the eve of the test, the patient is prescribed parenteral administration of analgesic drugs. This is due to the fact that local anesthetics affect the ulcer of the urinary tract not effectively. Severely excitable patients, including children, are anesthetized.
Before the examination, the patient must go to the toilet.
The patient is placed in the urological armchair on the back (the head end can be raised), the legs are bent and slightly raised.
Cystoscopy is conducted with strict adherence to aseptic and antiseptic. Urethrocystoscopy is injected into the bladder according to the same rules as any metal tool, after greasy pre-sterilized glycerin, which will not disrupt the transparency of the optics.
When the urethrocystoscopy is injected into the bladder, the remaining urine is lowered and washed with a slightly heated furacylline solution, and then filled with the same solution to the sensation of urination. A similar procedure makes it possible to find out what the volume of the bladder is. In general, cystoscopy is carried out by introducing into the bladder 200 ml of fluid.
The front wall of the bladder is an object that is subject to examination in the first place. The doctor then checks the left, posterior, and right walls, while turning the urethrocystoscopy clockwise. The most careful examination of the bladder is required in the place of the triangle of Lleue: pathological processes are most often localized here.
Subject of study of cystoscopy
During the survey, the main attention is paid to the location of the location, the shape and number of ureter, the symmetry of the location, as well as what color of the mucosa, whether there are signs of pathological changes, stones and foreign bodies in the bladder.
A healthy skin of the bladder is pale pink, with a gentle blood vessel network. In the place where the Triangle of Leceto is located, the blood vessels are bigger and much larger than in other parts of the bladder.
The mouth of the ureter normally should be symmetrical, the form can be quite diverse (oval, point, crescent, slit, round, etc.).
This method is not used:
- If the patient has a severe inflammatory disease of the urethra;
- With acute urinary bladder inflammation, genital organs;
- With obstruction of the urinary channel;
- In diseases that cause clouding of the optical medium (hematuria, pyuria, etc.).
