Dr. David Samadi - Find Out The Causes & Symptoms Of Pancreatitis (Health And Medical Video July 2018).

Pancreatitis is called inflammation of the pancreas. More often people over 30 are ill who are abusing alcohol or are prone to obesity. Men are ill three times less often than women. Signs of pancreatitis in adults appear bright enough, which facilitates diagnosis.

Pancreatitis may be acute or chronic. Acute pancreatitis is in third place among the most common diseases of the abdominal cavity, in which surgical intervention is required. Signs of pancreatitis in adults vary depending on the form of the disease.

Signs of pancreatitis in adults in acute form

Acute pancreatitis is a sharp defeat of the pancreas of the inflammatory and necrotic (necrosis tissue) nature. Acute pancreatitis occurs in two forms:

  • Swollen, lighter form in which the pancreas is intense, saturated with serous fluid, increased 2-3 times;
  • Necrotic, severe form in which the pancreas is partially or completely necrotized.

Signs of inflammation of the pancreas in adults in acute form appear suddenly, most often after abundant intake of alcohol, meat, greasy food. The following basic signs of acute pancreatitis can be distinguished.

  1. A sharp, very intense pain is the most characteristic sign. In severe forms of pancreatitis pain leads to a sharp drop in pressure, cold sweat, and pallor. The pain has a constant growing character, does not pass even after an injection of pain medication.
  2. Multiple, abundant vomiting. She appears at one time with pain, but does not relieve her.
  3. Rise in temperature, severe condition of the patient.
  4. Pale skin. A small cynosity of the skin may be observed around the umbilical ring. The sides of the abdomen can be painted in greenish-brown or blue-red tones.
  5. Accelerated breathing, in the lower parts of the lungs you can hear wheezing.
  6. Surface palpation of the abdomen causes severe pain.

Signs of chronic forms of pancreatitis in adults

In chronic pancreatitis there is a periodic exacerbation of the inflammatory process in the pancreas. It leads to a deterioration of its functional and anatomical condition. The following symptoms of pancreatitis in adults are distinguished in chronic form:

  1. Pain syndrome, which is localized in the left or right hypochondrium. The pain may be permanent or paroxysmal. It appears or intensifies about half an hour after food and at night.
  2. Abdominal bloating, rumbling, diarrhea.
  3. Nausea, heartburn, blistering, unpleasant taste in the mouth. At the beginning of the disease, these signs of chronic pancreatitis in adults appear only when exacerbation. With the progression of the disease, they become permanent.
  4. Reduced body performance, constant weakness.

Signs of pancreatitis in adults depend on the form in which the disease is present. In the acute form of the disease, the signs have a more pronounced form, indicating the need for immediate hospitalization. The chronic form requires timely treatment to prevent the exacerbation of the disease.
